TB-500 from Canada Peptides is an injectable peptide that is used to heal wounds and suppress swelling, and to increase mobility in the event of injury or reduce pain in the event of injury by reducing inflammation. 

Mechanism of action

This product is a short peptide, a fragment of the natural hormone thymosin beta-4, which is produced in a gland called the thymus. Its production is by far the largest in young children, and has faded over the years. In old age, the body practically stops producing TB-4. Besides natural production, this compound can be found in high concentrations in the cytoplasm of some cells and even in some wound fluids. TB-500 belongs to the beta thymosin family. 

In addition to accelerating healing, the peptide also promotes the formation of new blood and muscle cells. The beneficial effects of this peptide have been observed in tendons, ligaments, muscles, skin, heart and eyes. Taimosin beta 4 is naturally produced at a higher concentration where tissue is damaged. This peptide promotes the migration of endothelial cells and keratinocytes. It also does not bind to the extracellular matrix and has a very low molecular weight.

The most important effect of TB-500 is to reduce inflammation. In addition, this compound has a direct effect on the G-actin protein. TB-500 inhibits the released energy, protects the cell structure from destruction. It plays an important role in regenerative functions. This peptide is also responsible for the activation of cells known as satellite cells. They are very important in our body, as they can turn into any cell, restoring their damaged counterparts. In addition, TB-500 reduces muscle contraction and improves muscle tension, enhances cellular metabolism, and increases the strength of connective tissue. 

This compound has a positive effect on the heart muscle, improves ligament flexibility and joint movement. After the use of TB-500, differentiation of endothelial cells, the growth of new blood cells, emigration of keratinocytes, and collagen deposition also occur. Ultimately, the drug reduces inflammation, speeds up muscle recovery, increases endurance, and also improves muscle contraction. TB 500 is used for the repair of tissues damaged by myocardial infarction, the treatment of ulcers and intestinal lesions, when increased metabolism between cells is required for general tissue repair, increasing the elasticity of joints or repairing tendons and ligaments.

The dose ranges from 5 to 8 milligrams per week. However, the use of the TB-500 itself is pided into phases. The first phase, called the initial phase, takes four to six weeks. Here, the frequency of injections should not exceed 2 milligrams per 1 injection, 2-4 times a week (i.e. 4-8 mg per week), the second stage - the TB-500 maintenance phase lasts about two months, and we use 2 to 4 milligrams TB-500 per week. The drug itself is supplied in powder form in vials of two milligrams. The best amount to dissolve the contents of the vial is water for injection or 1 ml bacteriostatic water. The most common dosing protocol is the entire vial at a time.

Side effects

Inpiduals may react differently to administration of this peptide. It should be clearly noted that no side effects have been noticed over the past few years since TB-500 became popular, especially among athletes. Some people experience flu-like symptoms while using the drug. However, none of the studies have confirmed that the presence of such symptoms is the rule when using TB-500.
